We’re proud to be celebrating 35 years in business this year and have discovered that one of our founders has been shortlisted for Businesswoman of the Year in the Kent Business Awards, which is seriously great news.
2024 has been a good year for PHC on the awards front. We’ve been collecting them up and have added Winner of Home Appliance Company of the Year UK in the Innovation and Excellence Awards, Winner of Best Vacuum Service Business 2024, UK in the SME News Awards and Winner of Best In-House Vacuum Service & Repair Company UK at the Independent Business Awards 2024.
Celebrating 35 Years
So, to all our fabulous PHC customers, a huge thank you for the votes, nominations, support and thumbs up online for our independent family business. It’s very much appreciated and is doing wonders for team morale.
It’s not often that you come across a multi-award- winning business that is still 100% family owned and managed and it’s even better when that business is one on your own Kent doorstep.

And after all this good news, it makes us smile when we remember all the way back to 1987 & a chance meeting at a party in Liverpool with the owner of a Kirby vacuum cleaners franchise. At that time, we joined the Kirby company as a Kirby distributor, became a five-star Kirby Service Centre and then became totally independent in 2000. The rest, as they say, is history.
These days, the PHC Vacuum Service team service & repair six brands of machines – Miele, Dyson, Oreck, Sebo, GTech & still the good old Kirbys. We have a team of fully trained, professional field engineers who travel the roads of Kent and the South East of England visiting customers in the comfort of their own homes fixing vacuum cleaners. More than half a million to date!
