Don’t throw away your Dyson! Affordable repair options available instead.

This was a week where a fabulous PHC customer summed up our service brilliantly on the review platform, Trustpilot.

One of our biggest challenges has always been getting people to understand that it is entirely possible (& sensible) to repair rather than replace their vacuum cleaner. We all live in a highly consumable society and we are tempted to simply throw away household appliances, gadgets and bits of tech that no longer seem to be working perfectly and go out or online to buy a new one instead of seeing if we can fix the one we have.

Here at PHC we don’t agree with this idea. We want our customers to repair their vacuum cleaners and love them for longer. We just wish that more home owners out there knew that this is what we do.

Service and repairs for Dysons – who knew?

“I didn’t know there was a company that serviced and repaired Dysons until mine developed a problem. After finding PHC via a Google search, I booked an engineer to come out. Ross arrived ahead of the schedule time which was okay and great, he took my Dyson apart and found that the issue was an ice cream lolly stick that was stuck, luckily not doing any damage to pipes/motor etc. He gave it thoroughly good clean and changed the two 7-year old filters on it, and now my vacuum is as good as new! They also do a service/accident plan which covers all parts + a full service every 2 years for just £6.99 a month. Worth it for a Dyson and peace of mind! Ross was friendly and explained things as he went along, I didn’t realise there was a filter on it that can be removed, washed and put back! Now I do! This is a brilliant service and will happily recommend them to my friends and work colleagues.”

Three full years ago this month, back in July 2021, the British government introduced a new piece of legislation called the right to repair in order to encourage both consumers and manufacturers to love their household appliances for longer, in fact, up to 10 years longer. This new law made manufacturers (including Dyson) promise to offer the availability of spare parts for their vacuum cleaners as well as access to third party companies (like us lovely people here at PHC) to do that job for them.

So, here’s a question for anyone reading this blog. How do we tell more people that having your vacuum cleaner serviced & repaired is an entirely affordable and sensible option? How do we broadcast that message to lots of people all at the same time? Anyone with a contact at Good Morning Britain or This Morning or Martin Lewis’ Money Saving Expert Tips please get in touch with us, we’d love to tell them more!

And for anyone who’d like to join the PHC team in servicing and repairing our much loved vacuum cleaners, we have franchise opportunities currently available across the UK. Get in touch with us today.
